High-protein low-carb taco shells, eight taco-sized pieces. Per 22 g piece: 4.8 g protein and 5.7 g fibre for only 2.4 g of carbohydrate and 67.8 kcal. Fibre at 26 g per 100 g is exceptional.
🎯 Is It Right for You?
It may suit you if…
- You follow a low-carb diet and miss bread and wraps.
- You want high fibre — 26 g per 100 g.
- You make quick meals: chicken wraps, tacos, thin pizza, quesadillas.
- You follow a vegan diet.
It may not suit you if…
- You avoid gluten — the base here is wheat gluten itself.
- You watch salt — 0.37 g per piece.
- You want bread with a short ingredient list — this one is long, as any shelf-stable bread's is.
🥑 The Green Spot Take
The whole point is in the numbers: 2.4 g of carbohydrate per piece against 15–20 g in a conventional tortilla, and 26 g of fibre per 100 g, among the highest of any baked product. The trick is that the base is wheat gluten and wheat fibre rather than flour. Each piece has just 2.4 g of carbohydrate, and the pack carries a Keto Friendly claim. The pieces are smaller than the wraps (22 g vs 40 g), suiting tacos and smaller portions. It is vegan with no added sugar, and it warms through in two minutes, so it genuinely works for a fast meal. One important note: the base is wheat gluten itself, so it is not suitable for coeliacs despite being low carb.
