Product Description:\nAn Heirloom non-hybrid wheat that is particularly suitable for baking flavorful bread. Suitable for pizza, hearty yeasted breads, mixing with low protein grains, and sourdough baking. Also good for Gulf dishes like Harisa and Madhrouba. At Natureland we prefer quality whole foods. We offer heirloom non-hybrid grains and quality mills enabling you to enjoy the freshness of homemade flour. Egyptian Belila A delicious dessert you can make with spelt or other types of grains. 4 to 6 servings. Ingredients:\n- 1½ cups wheat, soaked overnight\n- 4½ cups milk or oat or almond milk\n- A cup Azeez sugar, maple syrup, or honey\n- ½ tsp real vanilla\n- ½ cup cream, optional\n- Honey or nuts, to garnish Method:\nBoil wheat in water to cover until softened, could take up to 100 minutes. Now add the milk and continue cooking for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thickened. Some of the berries will have opened up. Then stir in the sweetener, and the vanilla, and some water or milk if the mixture is dry. In serving bowls put a little cream if using, then ladle some belila over it, and let cool for about 15 minutes. Serve garnished with honey or maple syrup, pistachios, bananas or however you like.
